It is pretty open inside and I struggled with furnishing. The options are so many and the temptations are promoted by all the trade magazines and blogs. I tried to keep the inside spare, comfortable but rough. That is easier said than done. I could not be more impressed with this Texas house. It looks so innocent from the front but once you get inside, oh Momma! That is the hand of someone with taste and talent. Clearly the owners were not economizing. I love the feeling of selection instead of flooding with "stuff". Thank you so much for the blog. I have truly learned something. There are a few things I didn't care for and I think I'd spice up the decor a little more with neutral items - just to warm it up a tad more - but it is an amazing house!

And the front curb appeal? TO-DIE-FOR gorgeous!!! I am quite convinced after years of watching the people around me and what they are drawn to on the decor front that people who have a natural internal fire or energy lean towards less stimulating environments (and more neutral decor), whilst people who need a bit more stimulation go for more colour and vibrancy in their decor. xxTrish Mitchellhttp://trishannmitchell.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5134826733437250835.post-14160696280416090532017-01-25T16:48:14.467+02:002017-01-25T16:48:14.467+02:00Sharon,

But...you knew there would be one...I would need a little more in the decorative art and collections dept. I have a friend who owns a lovely home similar in style to this one. There is nothing like spending time in her home because it is so calming. Maybe this could serve as a second, retreat-style home. :-)
xo,
KarenKarenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08064699521293763744noreply@blogger.com
