Meet Maison & Co

I am briefly interrupting my alphabet series because I am so excited about introducing my new sponsor to you! Maison & Co is the most wonderful online store. It is not often that I come across a shop where I want to own everything they sell, but in this instance, that is most definitely the case. In fact, not only do I want to buy everything, I also want to live the lives of the two owners, Bernadette Truxal and Kendall Drake. Not only do they get to spend their days surrounded by beautiful antique furniture, art and accessories, they get to travel to the best parts of Europe to source these wonderful items.

Just imagine spending your days browsing through brocantes and antique markets in the beautiful villages of France, Sweden and other European countries, following your passion for sourcing unique and authentic 18th and 19th century antiques. I am probably romanticising it, because I am sure it is jolly hard work and very tiring! But how rewarding it must be when that container arrives and you get to unpack all the treasures!

......And what beautiful treasures they are! I have spent long hours perusing the Maison & Co website. In addition to the beautiful antique furniture, lighting, art and various accessories and objet d'art, they have their own collection of modern pieces which perfectly complement their antiques.

Bernadette and Kendall's passion for quality and good design is very evident when you look at the collection they have built up and made available to us through their online store.

I couldn't resist putting some items together to show you just how beautifully you could furnish a corner of your home with a selection of items from Maison & Co

This 18th Century Swedish secretary and pair of 19th Century Swedish armchairs chairs look perfect combined with modern lamp and accessories from the Maison Collection.

This gorgeous lamp and mirror would look wonderful  adorning this 18th century Swedish Rococo period  table. To complete the look, imagine the table flanked by these Danish armchairs and either of these pretty cushions. I love this table so much....if you like it too, you better hurry and snap it up!

Here I have put together a French country corner with this wonderful antique French bookcase. I would place the vintage French wool crate on top and put the 19th Century Gustavian chairs on either side with an antique Italian lantern above each one.

Not only can can you furnish the inside of your home from Maison and Co....your patio or garden could also be greatly enhanced with a few beautiful items from their store. The 19th Century French garden bench pairs beautifully with the modern Stephane tea table.

If you like an industrial inspired look, this Paris Shutter cupboard would be a great choice. Antique grain sack pillows and French oyster basket complete the look.

Sadly some of these items have already been sold, so be sure to visit the Maison & Co website soon so you don't lose out! You can thank me later.

Maison & Co, based in Wichita, Kansas, are exclusively an online business and ship all over the world. You can find the link to the website on the sidebar of my blog.

Back to my "Aesthete's Alphabet" series, I am still pondering U is for ........Unknown???, but stay tuned, I will be posting soon.

Till next time

  3. Thank you for that introduction! We are just finishing our vacation home in Naples and can see a few of these pieces making an appearance. I was specifically looking for that glass globe pendant for our island in the kitchen. Awesome! Congrats on a great partnership, a good fit:) xob
