I love the impact that an oversized piece of art makes!

... a piece of art on such a large scale makes such a statement.

  1. Hello Sharon

I agree with you about the scale of a piece of art and if one does not have a large piece assemble the smaller paintings and hang them in a grouping resembling one.

  2. Hi Sharon - Wonderful selections! Not only does a large piece of artwork add drama, it takes the eye up and makes the room feel taller. Thanks for all the inspirations!
    Have a great weekend,

  3. Sharon, this is Texas decorating for sure. We love big everything. But, seriously, these are beautiful examples of how design can blend with art. Good job!!

  6. Gorgeous bedroom and the tapestry in the first image is stunning. Placing a large object, or grouping of smaller objects can be very dramatic. Very nice series of images!

  11. I totally agree. We have a couple of spots in our new house where only a large piece will do. A big piece of art is a much bigger commitment - emotionally you have to love it, financially you have to be able to pull it off and then you have to have the perfect spot for it! I love to buy stuff on my travels and that doesn't fit so easily in a suitcase either...these are gorgeous though - when the perfect piece finds the perfect piece, it's stunning.
