French Farmhouse


This beautiful home in the Dordogne region of France was built in the early 18th century. The walls and beamed ceilings are original and the fireplaces and stone floors were reconstructed  to blend in with the original features.



It is owned by a British couple, who live here with their 2 daughters. It wasn't an easy transition, learning a new culture and a new language, but they persevered and now have a successful organic farming business. 







The home is simply furnished, cleverly combining old and modern pieces.







These old stone walls are so beautiful!

    I cannot imagine leaving a country and doing something like that! It sounds exciting and scary all at the same time! The farmhouse is beautiful! Thank you for sharing it with us! Hope you are doing well!

    This is such a beautiful home, both inside and out. The kitchen, bathtub and furnishings are perfectly chosen to bridge the gap between the age of the house and the way we live today. It is delightful.

    What a dream!!! It takes so much courage to pick up and leave your own country. I found just moving across Canada to be so daunting.
